On June 20, 2025, H.E. Wei Hongtian, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Grenada, met with former cabinet ministers Hon.Peter David, Mr.Joe Gilbert, Amb. Arley Gill, and Mr.Chester Humphrey, former President of the Senate at his residence in True Blue of St.George’s to exchange on China-Grenada relations, Grenadian socio-economic development and international and regional issues of common concerns.

Amb. Wei reviewed the development of China-Grenada friendly relations and cooperation over the past 20 years and extended thanks to the distinguished guests for their contributions to the relations and practical cooperation between the two countries. Amb. Wei reiterates that China will not forget old friends and are willing to strengthen friendly contacts and exchanges with people from all walks of life in Grenada for the further enhancement of the bilateral relations and friendship between China and Grenada.

The distinguished guests highly commended China’s development path and achievements, appreciated China’s pursuance of foreign policy of peace, expressed their thanks to China for its long-term generous assistance to Grenada. They committed to continuing their efforts for the further promotion of  Grenada-China relations and friendship.
