On October 6, 2025, H.E. Ambassador Yang Shu attended the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Confucius Institute at T.A. Marryshow Community College (TAMCC) in Grenada. Also present were Mr. Elvis Morain, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Mr. Andrew Abraham, Principal of TAMCC, Mr. David Ambrose, Grenadian Director of Confucius Institute at TAMCC, and Dr. Jiang Fan, Resident Director of the Confucius Institute, as well as students and teachers of the Institute.

In his remarks, Ambassador Yang warmly congratulated the Confucius Institute on its remarkable achievements over the past decade in Chinese language teaching and Chinese culture promotion. He expressed heartfelt appreciation to all faculty and staff for their hard work and extended best wishes for an even brighter future for the Institute.

Ambassador Yang also noted that, China and Grenada should further enhance people-to-people and cultural exchanges to strengthen mutual understanding between the two peoples under the guidance of the Global Civilization Initiative.

The event featured a lively atmosphere, with students from the Confucius Institute performing Chinese songs, martial arts, and traditional Grenadian dances.
