Ambassador Yang Shu attended the Orientation Meeting for China-aid Bilateral Training Course on New Energy Vehicle Maintenance Technology

On May 22, 2026, the orientation meeting for China-aid Training Program on New Energy Vehicle and Hybrid Electric Vehicle Maintenance Technology for Grenada was held at Kirani James Athletic Stadium in St. George. H.E. Yang Shu, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Grenada, Ms. Lyndonna Hillaire-Marshall, Permanent Secretary for the Department of Public Administration, Ms. Isabel Morris, Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Transportation, together with Grenadian relevant officials and training participants attended the event.

Ambassador Yang outlined China’s achievements in the development of the new energy vehicle industry, latest outcomes of high-level  China-US summit, and progress in China-Grenada human resources cooperation. He expressed that China stands ready to share development experience and practical expertise to help Grenada advance green economic transition. He encouraged training participants to value this learning opportunity, engage in diligent study and interactive exchanges  with instructors, and contribute to the growth of Grenada’s new energy vehicle industry upon their return.

The Grenadian side extended sincere appreciation to China’s long-term support in human resources capacity training. It emphasized that Grenada is pressing ahead with new energy vehicle development, with technological upgrading serving as a core pillar of national energy transition. Training participants, as local technical practitioners, expect to sharpen their maintenance capabilities through the training, fuel industry progress with skilled talent, and bolster energy transformation in Grenada’s transportation sector.
