An orientation was held in honor of 20 Grenadians who have been selected to take part in the bilateral training programme on Stadium Maintenance and Technology, at the Grenada national cricket stadium on May 18th ,2016.The participants will leave Grenada on May 25th, 2016 , for Hefei, China and would return on June 16th,2016.

Her Excellency Ou Boqian, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Grenada, congratulated the recipients on obtaining the opportunity for academic improvement which will contribute to the maintenance of the National Stadiums and development of Grenada. She also encourage the participates to take the opportunity to explore China's richness of her heritage, traditions and culture.

Ms. Carina Aird – Senior HR Management Officer (AG), within the Department of Public Administration also speak on the orientation to the participants that they are now Ambassadors for Grenada and made an appeal for them to represent their country fully. She encouraged them to take full advantage of the training and to learn as much as they can.

A representative speaking on behalf of Ms. Jacinta Joseph – Permanent Secretary , Ministry of Youth, Sports and Religious Affairs expressed sincere gratitude on behalf of the government and the people of Grenada, to the People's Republic of China for their continuous contribution and cooperation kindly extended to Grenada.

Mr. Kerlon Peters - Senior Coach, Ministry of Youth, Sports & Religious Affairs, who is also team leader for the participants, gave the Vote of Thanks at the orientation. On behalf of himself and participants, he expressed gratitude for the opportunity given to them by the People's Republic of China to embark on the training.
