On February 1st, Chinese Ambassador to Grenada H.E. Mme. Ou Boqian and Minister for Tourism of Grenada Hon. Mme. Clarice Modeste-Curwen visited one of the building sites of the second phase China-aided low income housing project in St Mark's.

Ambassador Ou said, on the occasion of Chinese Lunar New Year celebration, I am pleased to announce, together with Minister Modeste-Curwen, that the survey of the second phase China-aided housing project in St. Mark's has officially started. I would like to thank Minister Modeste-Curwen for her unremitting efforts and important contributions she made on China-Grenada friendship during her tenure as Minister for Foreign Affair of Grenada. I would like to make a joint effort with Minister Modeste-Curwen to move forward our friendship.

Minister Modeste-Curwen said, the second phase of the housing project is the most urgently needed project for the people of Grenada. I would like to thank China for her selfless help to Grenada and thank the Chinese embassy in Grenada and Ambassador Ou Boqian for all they have done for the people of Grenada.
