Notice on Adjusting Pre-departure Requirements
2022-01-07 03:13

In order to reduce cross-border transmission of Covid-19, please follow the principle of “no travel for non-essential or non-urgent reasons” and take proper personal protection measures to fight against the pandemic together. In view of the relevant requirements and local situation in Grenada, the following adjustments are made to pre-departure requirements, which passengers travelling to China on and after 17th January 2022 are kindly requested to follow.

1. Adjusting pre-departure testing requirement

For passengers who have completed COVID-19 vaccinations, two nucleic acid tests (PCR) tests shall be performed within 48 hours (from sample collected time) before boarding. The two tests must be taken at two different medical institutions in Grenada respectively (Grenada General Hospital and St. Augustine's Medical Services) ,while IgM antibody test is not required any more.

For passengers who have not been vaccinated or not been fully vaccinated, and passengers with history of COVID-19 infection, pre-departure test requirements remain unchanged.

2.Passengers bound for China are advised to read the requirements carefully and follow them accordingly to avoid denied boarding or change of itinerary due to the failure in providing negative Tests results and obtain the "HDC" Mark.

3.Passengers taking a flight to China via connecting flights must make sure they meet the boarding requirements of the transit airports, which may include but not limited to taking the Tests in the transit country within 48 hours (from sample collected time) before boarding and applying for the "HDC" Mark from the Chinese Embassy/Consulate in the transit country.

4.Passengers are therefore advised to find out about the entry regulations and Tests requirements of the transit country before traveling. Failure to enter the transit country, or to meet the requirements on Tests or the "HDC" Mark, could result in heightened infection risk or being stranded.
