On September 20, 2023, the Chinese Embassy in Grenada held a reception to celebrate the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China in St. George’s, Grenada. The reception was joined by Dame Cécile La Grenade, Governor-General of Grenada, Hon. Dickon Mitchell, Prime Minister of Grenada, and around 160 Grenadians and Chinese from all walks of life. In his speech, Chinese Ambassador Wei Hongtian introduced China’s development over the past 74 years and its contributions to the global community, and also envisioned a brighter future for the China-Grenada relationship.
