China-aid Medical Donation Handed over to Grenada in an Effort to Enhance Public Health Cooperation

    On September 13, 2022, the China-aid Medical Donation was handed over to the Grenadian Government. Mr. Peng Wenlin, Chargé d'Affaires ad Interim of Chinese Embassy to Grenada, Ms. Desiree Stephen, Permanent Secretary with responsibility for General and Health Administration of the Ministry of Health, Ms. Roxie Leish-Hutchinson, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs attended the ceremony.


    In his speech, Chargé d'Affaires ad Interim, hoped that this assistance could help Grenada enhance the public health service and improve the health infrastructure. China believes the donation will be fully used for promoting people's health, and welfare of Grenada.  China is willing to continue to work closely with Grenada to deepen the bilateral relations for the benefit of the two peoples.

    Ms. Desiree Stephen, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, appreciated the kind donation from the Chinese government and believed that the donation will significantly enhance Grenada’s capacity in public health area. She also looks forward to the continued cooperation with China in public health and other areas.
