On January 26, 2024, Ambassador Wei Hongtian visited the China-aided Grenada National Athletic Stadium and Cricket Stadium together with Senator the Hon. Jonathan LaCrette, Minister for Youth and Sports of Grenada. 

    They commended the good condition and well-functioning Athletic Stadium, inspected the preparation work of the Renovation Project of the Cricket Stadium, encouraged the Stadium Authority and the Contractor (Shanghai Baoye Group) to work and coordinate more closely to ensure the Renovation Project go smoothly. 

    Hon. LaCrette expressed thanks for China’s continued assistance and support. The two sides expressed their willingness to carry out more cooperation in the field of sports to enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples.
