On July 4, 2024, Ambassador Wei Hongtian handed over USD 100,000 of cash donation provided by the Red Cross Society of China to the Grenadian Government to assist the disaster-relief effort after hurricane Beryl. Ambassador Wei said that China is committed to the development of bilateral relations and always provides Grenada with urgent help when necessary. 

    Minister for Foreign Affairs of Grenada, Hon. Joseph Andall received the donation on behalf of the Grenadian Government. He expressed gratitude for China providing generous support at the earliest time possible, and confirmed that the people in need will fully benefit from the donation.
