On September 15, 2026, the National Scholarship Awards Ceremony was held grandly. H.E.Yang Shu, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Grenada was invited to attend and deliver a speech, and joined Hon. David Andrew, Minister for Education in presenting certificates to the award-winning students. Nearly 200 people attended, including Ministry of Education officials, representatives of scholarship sponsors, award-winning students, and their parents.

Amb.Yang introduced China's economic and social development, elaborated on the "Five Programs" for building a China-Latin America community with a shared future, and reviewed the history of China-Grenada human resources cooperation. Ambassador pointed out that education is a bridge connecting the hearts of the peoples of the two countries, and China is willing to further expand the coverage of scholarships, create more opportunities for young people of the two countries to learn from each other.

Minister Andrew sincerely thanked China for its long-standing valuable support for Grenada's education cause, and encouraged the students to contribute to the building of their motherland upon returning home after completing their studies. He expressed willingness to take the scholarship program as an opportunity to expand Grenada-China educational exchanges and cooperation, and to cultivate more outstanding talents for Grenada's national development.
