On November 26, 2024, H.E. Wei Hongtian, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Grenada, attended the 2024 Scholarship Award Ceremony held by the Ministry of Education of Granada, with Hon. David Andrew, Senator and Minister for Education, in the presence of nearly 100 scholarship recipients  awarded by the Chinese government and other organizations and institutions.

Ambassador Wei congratulated the winners of the 2024 Chinese Government Scholarship, urged them to cherish the opportunity of studying in China, reiterated the commitment to further strengthen bilateral educational cooperation and encouraged more outstanding Grenadian students to pursue their study in China. Minister Andrew thanked China for its long-term support for Grenada’s education and hoped that the scholarship recipients would study hard and return home to make more contributions to Grenada's economic and social development.
