On January 2, 2025, H.E. Wei Hongtian, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Grenada visited the China-Grenada Agricultural Technical Cooperation Project at La Sagesse of St. David, together with Hon. Lennox Andrews, Minister for economic development and agriculture, and representatives from St. Andrew South West constituency.

They inspected the farms, pilot project and bamboo weaving workshop. Amb. Wei briefed the representatives the friendly relations and fruitful cooperation between the two countries since the restoration of diplomatic ties in 2005. He extended new year’s greetings to the participants and was confident that the relations between the two countries would be further enhanced in the year 2025.

Minister Andrews thanked China for its long-term assistance and support to Grenada, and hoped that in the new year, the two sides would continue to work more closely to bring more cooperation benefits to two nations and two peoples.
