On Feb. 18, 2025, H.E. Wei Hongtian, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Grenada, met with Hon. Dickon Mitchell, Prime Minister of Grenada, and exchanged views on further developing friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries. 

   Amb. Wei extended warm congratulations to Hon. Dickon Mitchell on his successful visit to China in mid-January, the 20th anniversary of the restoration of diplomatic relations between the two countries on January 20 and the 51st anniversary of Grenada’s independence on Feb. 7, 2025. He expressed that China is willing to work closely with Grenada to implement the outcomes of the visit and achieve more practical cooperation for the benefit of the two nations and two peoples.

   Hon. PM Dickon Mitchell thanked the Chinese side for its excellent protocol arrangement and hospitality extended to him during his visit, appreciated China’s continued assistance and support to Grenada, and reaffirmed Grenada’s adherence to the One-China principle and vowed to work together with the Chinese side to deepen practical cooperation in relevant fields between the two countries and push bilateral relations to a new level.
