On September 30, 2025, H.E. Yang Shu, new Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Grenada, paid a courtesy call on Hon. Dickon Mitchell, Prime Minister of Grenada.

Ambassador Yang thanked the Grenadian government for the thoughtful arrangements for performing his duties, and said that the China-Grenada relations have achieved remarkable results in the past 20 years under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, China will work closely with Grenada to implement the positive outcomes of Prime Minister Hon. Dickon Mitchell's visit to China earlier this year. As the new Chinese Ambassador, he will spare no effort to promote practical cooperation between the two countries, continue to provide support to Grenada's economic and social development and enhance the well-being of the people of the two countries.

Hon. Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell praised the achievements of cooperation between the two countries in various fields, thanked China for the continued support to Grenada, commended the exchanges on the basis of equality and mutual trust between the two countries and emphasized that Grenada will firmly adhere to the one-China principle. He said that Grenada will strengthen cooperation with China to implement the outcomes of his visit to China, and promote the continuous development of friendly relations between the two countries.
