On October 13, 2025, H.E. Yang Shu, new Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Grenada, paid a courtesy call on Hon. Gloria Thomas, Minister for Social and Community Development, Housing and Gender Affairs of Grenada and Chairperson of National Democratic Congress(NDC), to exchange views on China-Grenada relations and party to party relations.

Ambassador Yang thanked the Grenadian government for the assistance for performing his duties, introduced the four proposals made by President Xi Jinping in his keynote address at the Opening Ceremony of the Global Leaders’ Meeting on Women  for achieving women’s all-round development and China's action plans. He said that China is willing to further deepen practical cooperation with Grenada in various fields including women’s empowerment and housing, and the Communist Party of China would like to strengthen friendly exchanges with the NDC, so as to jointly promote the relations between the two countries and the two parties to a new level.

Hon. Thomas commended the friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries and the two parties, thanked China for its selfless assistance. She said that the Grenadian side would like to deepen cooperation in relevant fields with China to promote the continuous development of friendly relations between the two countries.
