On November 25, 2025, H.E. Yang Shu, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Grenada, met with Hon. Lennox J. Andrews, Minister for Economic Development, Planning, Agriculture and Lands, Forestry, Blue Economy, Marine Resources, and Cooperatives of Grenada, and exchanged views on China-Grenada cooperation. The two sides also signed an agreement on the construction project of bleachers at Ford Playing Field in St. Andrew Southwest Constituency. 

Ambassador Yang stated that China is willing to expand cooperation with Grenada in agriculture, fisheries, infrastructure and other fields based on the actual living conditions and productivity of the people of Grenada, strengthen economic and trade exchanges, promote the economic and social development of Grenada, achieve mutual benefit and win-win results, and bring tangible benefits to the people of both countries. Ambassador Yang, on behalf of the Chinese embassy, handed over funds for the bleachers construction project to Hon. Andrews.

Hon. Andrews thanked China for its long-term support and highly appreciated China’s people-centered political philosophy, which is highly consistent with Grenada’s current governance philosophy. He hopes to accelerate the bilateral cooperation to improve the living standards of local people, and enhance the friendship and relations between the two countries and their people.
