On December 10, 2025, H.E. Yang Shu, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Grenada, together with the Chinese Community in Grenada, held a charity event, donating flour, fruits,vegetables and other supplies to Richmond Home for the Elderly and Queen Elizabeth Home for Children.heads of the institution and representatives of the Overseas Chinese and  Chinese companies attended the event.

Ambassador Yang stated that Chinese people not only living and investing in Grenada, but also fulfill their social responsibilities and actively participate in public welfare. By organizing charity activities every year, they demonstrate the traditional virtues of kindness and generosity in Chinese culture, deepen the friendship between the peoples of China and Grenada. This event is a vivid practice of a community with a shared future between China and Latin America and the Caribbean.

Representatives of the institutions expressed deep appreciation to the Chinese side for their good deeds, stating that the donations would be fully utilized so that the elderly and children could enjoy a happy and warm Christmas and New Year. Local media interviewed and reported on the donation event.
