On January 5, 2026, H.E. Yang Shu, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Grenada, met with Hon. Peter David, Political Leader of the Democratic People’s Movement(DPM), to exchange views on China-Grenada relations and party-to-party exchanges.

Ambassador Yang extended New Year’s greetings to Hon. David, appreciated his adherence to the one-China principle and the contributions to the friendship between the two countries. Ambassador Yang also briefed him on the history and achievements of the Communist Party of China(CPC). He said that China will not forget old friends and the CPC is ready to conduct friendly exchanges with the DPM. The Chinese Embassy is willing to play an active role in elevating the relations between the two countries and the two parties to new heights. 

Hon. David highly commended China’s development path and achievements, and stressed that the DPM will strengthen exchanges with the CPC, learn from China’s experience, and continue to deepen the friendship between the two countries.
