On March 24, 2026, H.E. Yang Shu, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Grenada, met with Hon. Philip Telesford, Minister for Health of Grenada, Permanent Secretary Ms. Rhonda Jones and other senior officials from the Ministry of Health in Grenada. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on the follow-up cooperation between China and Grenada in areas such as health care and capacity building.

Ambassador Yang stated that since the resumption of diplomatic relations between China and Grenada 21 years ago, the cooperation between the two countries has achieved fruitful results. China is willing to continue to enhance political mutual trust with Grenada, jointly expand cooperation in the medical and health field, jointly write a new chapter of bilateral cooperation, and continuously deepen the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries and their peoples.

The Grenadian side expressed its gratitude to China for its long-term support for the economic and social development of Grenada and stated that Grenada will continue to deepen cooperation with China to further improve the public health and medical system and service in Grenada.
