On June 12, 2026, H.E. Yang Shu, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Grenada, met with Hon. Ron Redhead, Minister of State in the Office of the Prime Minister and Minister for Digital Transformation.

Ambassador Yang congratulated the Minister on his new appointment. He said that China and Grenada have great cooperation potential in training, high-tech enterprise exchanges and project cooperation. China has always attached great importance to digital transformation. The Chinese Embassy stands ready to cooperate with the Ministry to advance Grenada's digital transformation, boost its economic and social development and improve people's well-being.

Hon. Redhead introduced the Ministry's plans in areas including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data connectivity, satellite communications and digital legislation. He spoke highly of China's technological strength, and said the Ministry is willing to conduct exchanges with China, learn from China's development experience to accelerate Grenada's digital transformation.
