On June 15, 2026, H.E. Yang Shu, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Grenada, attended the opening ceremony of the Media Week 2026 organized by the Media Workers Association of Grenada. The event was also attended by the Association's President, Ms. Calistra Farrier, and approximately 30 of its members and guests. Multiple media outlets provided on-site coverage.

   Amb.Yang thanked MWAG for its contributions over the years to promoting China-Grenada friendship, which have greatly enhanced mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples. He noted that China has long been providing various training opportunities for Grenada and other developing countries, and expressed the hope that Grenadian media professionals would visit China to see the country for themselves, and continue to present a comprehensive, multi-dimensional, and authentic China to Grenadian people.

   President Ms.Farrier expressed gratitude for China's long-standing and strong support for Grenadian people and stated that the Grenadian media would continue to strengthen cooperation with the Chinese Embassy and promote exchanges and mutual learning between the two countries.
