On August 14, 2026, the Chinese Embassy in Grenada hosted a symposium with Chinese Government scholarship recipients and media representatives. H.E. Yang Shu, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Grenada attended the event and delivered remarks. Approximately 15 people participated.

Ambassador Yang noted that the four global initiatives put forward by China have contributed China's wisdom to improving global governance. The steady rise in international goodwill toward China fully demonstrates the appeal of China's vision. The five programs for building a China-LAC community with a shared future are making solid progress and have become a model for South-South cooperation. Ambassador Yang expressed the hope that all friends present would serve as bridges of friendship between China and Grenada, contributing to mutual understanding between the two peoples.

The scholarship recipients expressed their gratitude to the Chinese side for the valuable opportunity to pursue further studies in China, while the journalist representatives shared their firsthand experiences and gains from their time in China. Both sides expressed their willingness to contribute to enhancing the friendship between the two countries.
