On Feb.14, 2025, H.E. Wei Hongtian, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Grenada, met Hon. Emmalin Pierre, political leader of the New National Party, member of parliament for St.Andrew South East and former Minister of Education, together with Mr. Roland Bhola, General Secretary and several youth leaders of the NNP. 

   Amb.Wei thanked the then NNP-led Government for its right political decision to restore the diplomatic relations with China on Jan.20,2005, appreciated  its adherence to the One-China policy and contribution to the development of the friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries. Amb. Wei also briefed them on the history, achievement and principle for party to party relations of the Communist Party of China. He reiterated that the CPC was committed to continuing friendly exchanges and cooperation with the NNP and working together for the enhanced development of the relations between China and Grenada for benefit of the two nations and two peoples.

   Hon.Emmalin Pierre and Mr.Bhola warmly congratulated the 20th anniversary of the renewed diplomatic ties between Grenada and China, appreciated the remarkable achievement of the CPC, reaffirmed the NNP’s commitment to the One-China policy and vowed to sustain the effort for the further development of both the party to party and state to state relations.
